Our History
Angle Vale Soccer Club was established in 1989 by local resident Maxine Singlewood and a group of volunteers who recognised the need for a sporting organisation within the growing Angle Vale area. The club commenced with three teams and limited facilities, with no permanent clubrooms and volunteers making use of whatever resources were available. Committee meetings were held wherever space could be found, and the club sausage sizzle was operated from a caravan.
Senior men’s football was introduced in 2006, with the club entering a team in Division 7 under Grant Warner. By 2011, the senior program had expanded to two teams. In 2013, the club moved into new clubrooms with upgraded playing fields and canteen facilities. At that time, Angle Vale consisted of three senior men’s teams and 14 junior teams. The club’s first senior women’s team was introduced in 2015 and won its division in its first season.
Since its establishment, Angle Vale Soccer Club has continued to expand its football programs and build on more than three decades of participation, development and competition.
